NetDespatch opens new UK headquarters
22 November 2004
NetDespatch has opened a new corporate headquarters in Marlow. The company, which provides advanced web-based IT services to courier and transport companies worldwide, employed a leading provider of workplace design, Blue Jelly, to come up with an innovative office lay-out. The professionally-designed environment makes the office suitable for top-level business meetings with NetDespatch's global clients.
Leading parcel companies like Amtrak and APC, as well as many courier companies, use NetDespatch web-based booking and tracking services for managing their operations and also for providing high quality web hosting and design.
The company is expanding its operations to meet growing demand, which is being driven in part by the growth in home deliveries. More and more people are getting goods delivered to their homes after buying via the Internet or the phone. This is boosting business for overnight delivery companies who use NetDespatch to manage their work.
Established in Marlow in 1999 by Becky Clark and Matthew Clark, the company has gone from strength to strength with clients as far a field as Australia and the USA. The specially designed offices are located on Marlow High Street and adjoin the offices of the company's Accountants, Brewer Higgins.
Brewer Higgins has been the Accountant for NetDespatch and previous Clark family businesses stretching back over 15 years. "We have seen NetDespatch flourish as one of the dotcom success stories and it is great to see them here at Century House" says Debbie Higgins of Brewer Higgins.
Staines-based Blue Jelly was formed 2 years ago by Paul Horne and Kevin Ward to help companies create leading workplaces; to match their vision for the business and attract and retain the quality of personnel needed to achieve it. Blue Jelly has recently delivered projects to local companies such as Bayer, Kensington Mortgage Group and Biogen Idec.
