National courier company JC Couriers has selected NetDespatch to provide on-line services as an integral part of the company's website. They will enable JC Couriers to offer a powerful web booking, tracking and management reporting facility. The NetDespatch facilities will also help JC Couriers to expand their business, by making their courier services more readily accessible to a wider audience.

"This will not just boost existing high service levels to their clients but more importantly the fact that it is already commercially proven means that we are offering a 'Plug and Play' service to our client base with negligible outlay, ensuring strong growth potential in this strong growth market. NetDespatch is a fully managed 'pay-as-you-go' web service that allows booking and tracking of sameday, overnight and international consignments through a single web site. "A customer can book on-line from Manchester or Glasgow or London and the job immediately pops up on a screen at our control centre in the East Midlands. We can manage the collection and delivery process more efficiently by simply communicating over the web and by mobile messaging. It is completely electronic and cuts out a whole series of inefficiencies" explains Mario Chappell, Managing Director of JC Couriers. "It's not designed to replace a Controller, no system should do that, however if the Controller is focused on controlling and not answering calls then profitability is an immediate benefit."

JC Couriers, who provide sameday delivery services from their headquarters in the East Midlands, have been expanding nationally, appointing local couriers in major towns and cities to provide a rapid response collection and delivery service throughout the UK. The NetDespatch web services include automatic routing and distribution of bookings to the nearest courier, and this provides the ideal platform for building and supporting a more extensive business without the burden of extra costs.
